FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers!

How do I know which class is right for me?

We offer an online placement test that can help you figure out which class is right for you

How long is each course and when do classes meet?

The length of the course depends on the level. The A0 course is 8h long, the A1 course is 48h long, divided into 3 16h courses that may be taken in or out of order. Classes are offered once a week for an hour.

Are your classes in person or online?

We are firm believers that learning Spanish with humans is a lot better than learning with apps. Our classes take place in person at 1200 S College Ave in Fort Collins, CO.

How many different levels are offered?

We follow the official Common European Framework Reference (CEFR) to organize our classes. We currently offer courses for starters (level A0) and beginners (level A1). Each year we continue adding new levels.

Do I have to complete the entire program?

Not at all. Our program is recreational. It is for adults who have a set goal in mind and are looking to achieve that goal in a highly dynamic and motivational environment. In the beginning, you can set the goal of being able to get by at the workplace and when you travel. If this is the case you may decide to take our A0 and A1 courses. If you are looking to become highly proficient, then you may choose to also complete A2 and B1 courses in which you will review the present tense irregulars and learn por vs. para, the past tenses and the direct and indirect object pronouns.

How many students are in each class?

All of our classes are very small. Most between 5 and 10 students. Our classes have no more than 12 students.

What is your student population like?

Most of our students are between the ages of 25 and 65. They are highly motivated individuals. Many are taking classes because they either work with the Latino population, or they love to travel and want to have a more authentic experience when they do so. You will not be in a huge class of 30 students whose goal is just to pass the class for university units. You will be in a community of colleagues and friends, who help each other improve and reach individual goals.

Can I join a class after it has started?

Yes! If there is space on the course we can take bookings for students wishing to join the class after it has started and we will prorate the price of the class.

What happens if I find my class is too easy or too difficult for me?

If at the end of your first lesson you find the course content too easy or too hard, you can switch courses up or down accordingly. Please contact us to discuss your options.

What happens if I miss a lesson during my course?
