Bla Bla Club is a place to come together, speak Spanish, meet people, and keep practicing outside of class. It’s a monthly membership with weekly conversation gatherings and a different social activity each month—all designed to make using Spanish a natural part of your life.

Bla Bla Club is a monthly membership that gives you access to all of the gatherings offered that month. There’s no weekly commitment, you choose when you want to come and reserve a spot when it works for you.

Every week brings a new Coffee Chat topic. The same topic is offered at several different times throughout the week, so you can choose the time that works best for you. Once a month, we also get together for a special activity, like board games, cultural activities, or something new.

About Bla Bla Club
Is Bla Bla Club a Spanish class?
No. Each gathering has a planned topic or activity, but the focus is on using Spanish naturally with other people, rather than grammar explanations or formal instruction. It’s a chance to practice, interact, and enjoy using the language in a social setting.
Do I have to be taking a Spanish class at Uno1 Dos2 Tres3 to join?
No. Bla Bla Club is open to anyone who meets the Spanish level requirement and wants more opportunities to use Spanish with others.
What level of Spanish do I need?
Bla Bla Club is designed for Spanish learners at A1.2 and above. You don’t need to be fluent or feel confident speaking, but you should be able to follow a simple conversation and express yourself in basic Spanish.
What if I don’t know my Spanish level?
No problem! If you’re not sure whether Bla Bla Club is the right fit for you, you can take our placement test to get an idea of your level.
Joining & Participating
Do I have to come every week?
No. There’s no weekly commitment. Your membership gives you the flexibility to choose which gatherings fit your schedule.
Can I come without becoming a member?
Yes, when space is available. Drop-in spots are available for individual gatherings. Payment can be made at the event by cash or Venmo.
Can I attend more than one Coffee Chat in a week?
Yes. Members can attend any of the gatherings offered during their membership period, as long as there is space.
Reservations & Cancellation
Do I need to reserve a spot for each gathering?
Yes. Space is limited, so members need to reserve a spot in advance for each gathering they plan to attend.
How do I reserve a spot?
Find the gathering you’d like to attend on the Bla Bla Club calendar and open the event. You’ll find a link there to reserve your spot. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up in advance.
What if I can’t make it to a gathering I reserved?
Please let us know as soon as possible if your plans change. We ask that you cancel your reservation at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible so someone else has a chance to join.
Membership
How does the membership work?
Your monthly membership gives you access to all Bla Bla Club gatherings offered during your membership period. There’s no weekly commitment. Check the calendar and choose the gatherings that fit your schedule.
Can I join in the middle of a month?
Yes! You can join Bla Bla Club at any time. Your membership begins when you sign up and renews 30 days later, so you don’t have to wait for the beginning of a calendar month.
When am I charged for my membership?
Your membership renews automatically every 30 days from your registration date.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. You can cancel your membership at any time before the end of your current membership period. Your membership will remain active through the period you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged for the following period.
